Next week's Fight Night 22 card is complete, as the organization officially added a reported preliminary card bout between Yves Edwards and John Gunderson to the event.
The ten fight card comes to the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas next Wednesday, with the main card airing live on Spike TV as the lead in to The Ultimate Fighter's 12th season.
Edwards is making his first appearance in the Octagon since UFC 61 in July of 2006. He's bounced around from organization to organization over the last four years, compiling a 7-5 record through that time. One of the UFC's earliest lightweight stars, Edwards holds one of the all time greatest highlight reel knockouts with his flying head kick to Josh Thomson at UFC 49.
Gunderson has split his first two fights in the UFC, losing a decision in his debut and winning one in his most recent fight. That victory came over Mark Holst at the Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale in June. He was supposed to face Efrain Escudero on this card before Escudero was pulled to face Matt Wiman, who subsequently dropped out. Escudero now faces Charles Oliveira on the main card.
