UFC NEWS: B.J. Penn says he'll likely be fighting again in November

By: Jamie Penick, MMATorch Editor-in-Chief

Failing to regain his UFC Lightweight Championship at UFC 118 last month, B.J. Penn said after the event that he wanted to get back in action as soon as possible. He's going to get his wish, it appears, as he posted a short video update at BJPenn.com stating that he'll be back in the Octagon sometime in November.

Penn said he'd been texting with UFC President Dana White over the past few days and that November appears to be what they're setting up.

"Dana?s trying to put the fight together, but that?s what I know as of right now, so I?ll keep you guys posted," Penn said. "This is going to be good."

No opponent was hinted at, but with only two events in November he'll more than likely be joining the UFC 123 card in Detroit on November 20.

Penick's Analysis: I'm curious to see who Penn is going to get next, but having him on the UFC 123 card will help to boost that event with Rampage and Lyoto Machida in the headlining spot. I can't see the UFC sticking him on the 122 card in Germany, so Detroit is likely getting a major lightweight fight, but I'm just not sure who he'll be facing at this point. But I'm sure we'll find that out fairly soon with him coming back in November.
