ROUNDTABLE (pt. 2 of 2): What MMA fight are you most excited about this fall and why? Perez, Carter, Williams, Lee, Shelby and Penick

What fight are you most excited about this fall and why?

ANWAR PEREZ, MMATORCH COLUMNIST

Mir and Mirko Cro-Cop, because as a fan of Cro-Cop, it gives us a chance to see if he's rekindled his fighting spirit from his days in Pride and K-1. Later in the year, though, the fight I think could be the biggest of the year - right along Brock Lesnar and Shane Carwin - is Georges St. Pierre and Josh Koscheck. That's going to be a fight that has everyone talking before, during, and after the bell. Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez will be an enormous fight, but because I feel that Lesnar will come out and smash Velasquez, I'm not as excited as the previous two mentioned.

ALVIN CARTER, MMATORCH SPECIALIST

I am excited to see Brock Lesnar vs. Cain Velasquez. I feel like this will be the an explosive match up that might have even more fireworks than Lesnar's bout with Shane Carwin. I also have to give an honorable mention to the Jake Sheilds vs. Martin Kampmann fight. That should be exciting as well.

ALEX WILLIAMS, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez. Lesnar's my pick, but it's certainly possible that Velasquez will take Lesnar down and pound him out or submit him. Either way, it's a fascinating match-up and one that should put the winner in consideration for Fighter of the Year honors.

ERIC LEE, MMATORCH CONTRIBUTOR

I am most excited to see Lesnar vs. Velazquez. Now that Brock is back and healthy I'm curious to see how long he stays champ. Just from size comparison I foresee Lesnar dominating this fight. They both have a very similar style which will be interesting to see, but Lesnar has beaten two opponents that out weighed Velazquez by 30 pounds. Unless Velazquez can out box Lesnar, he's going down in brutal fashion.

TOBEN SHELBY, MMATORCH AUDIO CO-HOST

This fall offers a few intriguing fights and I kind of feel weird
that a heavyweight bought catches my eye the most. Brock Lesnar versus Cain Velasquez is guaranteed fireworks, whether the match goes one round or five. I think Velasquez has the best set of skill to challenge Lesnar on the feet and on the ground. That alone makes it a fight worth seeing. Also, how much more will both fighters have grown since their last fights? I?m excited to find out.

Honorable mentions: Dan Hardy versus Carlos Condit and Nick Diaz
versus K.J. Noons.

JAMIE PENICK, MMATORCH EDITOR-IN-CHIEF

Lesnar vs. Velasquez is far and away the answer here, but that one intrigues for obvious reasons. The other fight I'm really looking forward to is Dan Hardy against Carlos Condit at UFC 120 in London. Despite this not being a major card overall, the London fans have a matchup here that really could provide fireworks. Condit has no problem playing the striking game against opponents, and he's shown himself capable of holding his own and surviving even when taking damage. Hardy is looking to rebound from the loss to GSP, and he'll be trying to do whatever he can to stay off his back. I think we'll be in for a knock-down, drag-out style of fight that is highly competitive, very back and forth and exciting as hell. And it's free on Spike!
