Towering above his heavyweight competitors at 6'11", 22 year old Stefan Struve has made his mark in the UFC with a number of exciting performances in the Octagon, and he'll be sticking around to try to pull off a few more.
According his management at Alchemist Management, Struve has signed a new four fight deal with the organization.
Struve is coming off an impressive come from behind win over Christian Morecraft at UFC 117 in August. After taking a beating in the first round, Struve knocked Morecraft out as the two were swinging wild punches at each other early in the second round.
He lost his UFC debut to current title contender Junior Dos Santos, but has won four of five fights since then. He's already racked up 20 victories in his young career, 14 by submission and four by knockout.
Alchemist Management is run by M.C. Hammer and was launched in July.
Penick's Analysis: Struve is a lot of fun to watch, and though he's suffered a couple of brutal defeats and his striking defense is still in great need of improvement, he's still just 22 years old. If he can avoid getting himself punched out before his career really takes off he can still develop into a very high level heavyweight fighter, and he'll be a good addition to any UFC card he's booked on. Good to hear he'll be sticking around for the time being and I'll definitely be looking forward to his next fight.
