Penick's Scorecard: 9-9. No elbows on the ground is a dumb rule, but it is the rules in Strikeforce and the ref warned Budd on multiple occasions there before taking the point away. That was the right call there, but Budd had completely won the round to that point.

STAR RATING: (**+) Good debut from Budd. Olsen just couldn't handle the size and power of Budd in this one. She tried to get the fight to the ground but unfortunately for her wound up on her back both times. She held her own for awhile, but Budd was too much once she got to the mount and she did a lot of damage in that position.

Penick's Scorecard: 10-9 Evangelista. Spiritwolf almost stole that fight at the end, and the judges could have scored any of these three rounds any way, so I have no idea how these scores are going to come out.
WINNER: Evangelista via unanimous decision
POST FIGHT: I'm not sure what the scorecards were because they didn't read them off. Would have liked to hear that. Evangelista gave Spiritwolf respect for his part in that fight and thanked the fans for support. Evangelista called out K.J. Noons, saying he thinks that fight should happen next.
STAR RATING: (***+) That was an excellent, crazy, brawling style fight where both fighters landed tons of punches and hurt each other at different times in the fight. Evangelista played a dangerous game by leaving it up to the judges, because all three rounds were extremely close and could have been seen by the judges differently. But that was a really, really fun fight for this card.
FIGHT FOUR: LAVAR JOHNSON VS. VIRGIL ZWICKER (HEAVYWEIGHT)
ROUND ONE: Johnson stalked early and tried to overwhelm Zwicker with some early strikes. He then clinched and landed a few knees. He blasted him with a few more and then dropped him with a big right for the knockout. He didn't follow up on the ground.
WINNER: Johnson via KO at 2:17 of the first round
POST FIGHT: Johnson played up to the hometown crowd. Mauro really tried to drive Johnson moving up to the big cards. Johnson said he's ready for the Bobby Lashleys, the Brett Rogers', the Andrei Arlovskis and more in the heavyweight division. He should get a step up for sure, because Zwicker, while he held his own for a couple of minutes, didn't offer up much of a challenge there.
STAR RATING: (**) It was really sloppy, but once Johnson found his mark and he went for the kill he took Zwicker apart. It was good to see Johnson stop once Zwicker slunk down to the canvas, as he had clearly had enough there and didn't need to take anymore punishment.

POST FIGHT: Voelker said he wants to continue to get better. He said he's never lost a rematch. He said he came in prepared for this one. He said he would always love to move on, but if everyone wants a rubber match he'd go for it again.
STAR RATING: (**+) Good performance from Voelker. Bowling's takedowns were awful in the second round, which led to him getting hurt initially. Voelker then hurt him even more standing before getting on top and continuing to land strikes in the guard leading to that TKO stoppage. Good win for Voelker and definitely a disappointing fight out of Bowling.
